This time of the year is full of stress, due to the amount of work that needs to be accomplished in addition to everything else that we do.  A few nights after work might be spent baking, while others are full of decorating, attending parties, and shopping for that endless list of gifts.  Oh, and don’t forget all of the wrappings that you need to do!

There are some years when I have heard people say that they didn’t know if they would get it all done or if the stress would kill them first.  That really bothered me, because this is supposed to be a joyful time of the year and everyone is supposed to love the ambiance, the decor, and the time with family and friends.  I decided that I needed to create a list of things that people could do to beat all of that holiday stress.

7 Ways I Can Help You Beat Holiday Stress

Sunday – Meditate

This is the easiest way to allow your brain, and your body, to relax and forget about the endless list of things that you must get completed.

Monday – Roll the Bottom of Your Feet with the Pinky Ball

This little ball will have your feet, and the rest of your body, feeling relaxed in no time at all.  Plus, the pain in your feet from all of that standing will disappear.

Tuesday – Use the Foam Roller on Your IT Bands and Hips

The foam roller will become your best friend this holiday season, as it helps relax your muscles and get rid of the pain.

Wednesday – Do Pelvic Stabilizing Exercises to Ground Yourself Mid-Week

The middle of the week is always considered hump day and it is a tough day to get through.  I recommend a few pelvic stabilizing exercises, as they can get you grounded and ready to tackle everything that comes your way towards the end of the week.

Thursday – Release Your Shoulders Using the Pinky Ball on the Wall

Towards the end of the week, you probably feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, which is why this will be the time to perform this exercise.  Simply let the pinky ball relieve your shoulder muscles of the stress of your week.

Friday – Focus on Posterior Lateral Breathing

Breathing is an important part of everyone’s day, but this breathing will have you ready to tackle the end of the week like a champion!

Saturday – Mobilize Your Spine by Rolling into the Roller

Using the foam roller is the perfect way to end your week, as it will help you mobilize your spine and work on your core.
